Choose a countdown for the task
A countdown measures the time left from a duration you set. A stopwatch measures elapsed time from zero. Use a clock alarm when you need an alert at a particular time of day.
Keep the page open and test sound before relying on a browser alert. Muted audio, a sleeping device or a closed tab can stop the alert from sounding when expected.
How to use this tool
- Set the duration for the task.
- Check the alert settings before starting.
- Start the countdown and use its controls to pause or reset.
Example
A task with a 7 minute allowance needs a 7 minute countdown. If you do not know the duration in advance, measure it with a stopwatch instead.
