Set 30 minutes aside for a half hour task
Use a half hour countdown for a scheduled task or an activity that needs a firm finish. The time left is shown in hours, minutes and seconds.
The countdown holds its remaining time while paused. Keep the page open and test sound before starting if you need an audible finish.
How to use this tool
- Check that Minutes is set to 30 and Seconds to 0.
- Choose sound or silent timing, then press Start.
- Pause to hold the remaining time or Reset to begin again.
Example
Thirty minutes is 1,800 seconds, or 0.5 hours. Pausing the countdown does not use the remaining half hour allowance.
Common questions
Does it finish at the next half hour on the clock?
No. It counts 30 minutes from when you start. Use an alarm for a particular clock time.
