Check a shift before filling in a timesheet
Enter the actual start and finish of the work period, then subtract the break minutes that should not count. The calculator returns one net duration for that shift.
For a finish earlier than the start, it assumes the shift ends the next day. Equal times mean zero hours. Pay rules, overtime and deductions are separate from this clock calculation.
How to use this tool
- Enter the shift start and finish.
- Enter unpaid break minutes.
- Copy the net hours into your record or use the weekly timesheet.
Example
A shift from 22:00 to 06:00 lasts 8 clock hours. Subtracting a 30 minute unpaid break gives 7.5 work hours.
