Explore where cities sit and what time they show
Select a marked city to update the main clock. The grid places a small set of cities by their coordinates and helps you compare locations across the world.
The graphic is a schematic city guide, not a map of time zone borders. Use the zone selector to check locations beyond the marked cities.
How to use this tool
- Select a city marker or search for a time zone.
- Read the current local date, time and offset.
- Add zones to the world clock list for a regular comparison.
Example
Choose New York on the grid, then Tokyo. The main clock changes to the selected city while your saved city cards remain in place.
Common questions
Does the grid show exact time zone boundaries?
No. It marks selected city locations. Time zone borders do not follow a simple longitude grid.
