Set the work, rest and round count

An interval timer suits any routine that alternates timed effort with a short rest. Set the lengths yourself instead of using a fixed workout plan.

The display labels each work or break phase and counts completed rounds. Sound is optional. Test it before the session and keep the page open while you train.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter the work duration in minutes and seconds.
  2. Set rest time and the number of work rounds.
  3. Press Start and follow the phase shown on screen.

Example

For eight work rounds of 20 seconds with 10 seconds between rounds, enter 0 work minutes, 20 work seconds, 0 break minutes and 10 break seconds. The timer ends after the eighth work round.

Common questions

Can I use this as a Tabata timer?

Yes. Enter your chosen Tabata work and rest periods and set the number of rounds. The timer does not choose a workout for you.
