Get consistent timestamp values from one input
The generator shows Unix seconds, Unix milliseconds, UTC ISO 8601 and a readable local date for the same instant. Use it to prepare a value for a log, test or data field.
The starting value is a snapshot, not a live counter. Refresh the page to load the current moment again, or edit the date field to generate another time.
How to use this tool
- Use the initial date or enter a date with a zone.
- Read the generated seconds, milliseconds and UTC date.
- Copy the required format or download the results.
Example
One second after the Unix epoch is 1 in Unix seconds and 1,000 in Unix milliseconds. The two values use different units for the same moment.
Common questions
Does the value update every second?
