Calculate overtime from stated inputs
Hours above your chosen threshold are counted as overtime. The calculator multiplies regular hours by the base rate and overtime hours by the base rate and overtime multiplier.
The result is a gross arithmetic amount. It does not determine local employment rules, deductions or tax, and it does not combine different daily and weekly overtime rules.
How to use this tool
- Enter hours worked and the regular hours threshold.
- Enter the hourly rate and overtime multiplier.
- Read regular hours, overtime hours and the gross amount.
Example
At 45 hours, a 40 hour threshold, a rate of 20 and a multiplier of 1.5, regular pay is 800 and overtime pay is 150. The total is 950 in your chosen currency.
